Keep Your Vehicle in Good Shape By Keeping the Gas Tank Full During Winter

Sometimes the seemingly little things can be the best decisions that we can make. Just taking the time figure something out can make all the difference in the world. This could be said for the practice of keeping your gas tank filled as full as possible during the cold winter months, something our Ford service team recommends.

If your gas tank is less than half full that means that there is more air than fuel in the tank. The air is usually full of moisture which can condense and cause moisture to enter the fuel line that runs from the gas tank to the engine. In cold weather, this can freeze along the inside of the line and cause problems.

This can certainly impede the effective starting of your car and can even be a problem for the day to day operation of your vehicle. Even if you can add smaller amounts of fuel to your tank from time to time, you will go a long way towards avoiding problems with your vehicle's operation.
